Ecology Field Survey

Welcome to my portfolio. I have had the opportunity to create a PoPBL Ecology field survey in my surrounding area which is my backyard and fish pond. This experience makes me more relaxed in learning by observing the green nature and at the same time, I have acknowledged various relationship in the world although it was only a quick survey. We must possess in mind that changes in the physical environment will affect the organism and the natural world in an ecosystem.

Mini Project

self-learning reflection

As we know, climate change is getting worst day by day. Some huge effect occurs which are rising of maximum temperature, rising of sea level, and rising of ocean temperature. This climate change will alter the life cycle of plants and animals by harming animals, destroying their habitat, slowing plant growth, and increasing plants moisture loss. We cannot stop climate change, but we have the responsibility and role as a citizen to slow the rate by planting trees, use less plastic, use renewable energy source and so on. Therefore, we need to encourage climate change awareness in our community to help people understand and address the impact.

I have been more creative to find the biotic and abiotic relationship in my surrounding area which is my house areas, and this has developed my thinking skill. Nevertheless, I have gained more understanding of biotic and abiotic factor such as air, water, sunlight, temperature & humidity are a list of important factors that shape an ecosystem whether in the land or aquatic. Every biotic factor depends on abiotic factors, especially for their survival and growth.

This experience makes me more relaxed in learning by observing the green nature and at the same time, I have acknowledged the various relationship in the world although it was only a quick survey. We must possess in mind that changes in the physical environment will affect the organism and the natural world in an ecosystem. In addition, parents and neighbours have helped in connecting the relationship through their gold experience with plants and animals. Changes in the physical environment will affect the organism and the natural world in an ecosystem.
